THE VINEYARD
Morgado’s Vineyard is located in the Transmontano region of Portugal. This small vineyard has been farmed for several years by Mrs.Morgado and her daughter Elisabete. The soil is gravelly sand and decomposed granite. On a gentle slope with full sun exposure the vineyard is planted with a mixture of local grape varieties with vines varying widely in age. It is dry farmed with very little intervention by Mrs.Morgado. 2960 bottles produced. This wine is unfined and unfiltered so it will develop natural sediment in the bottle.
