NOTES
The 2013 growing season was fairly warm with average rainfall through September. October, harvest month, brought extremely favorable conditions with less than 2 inches of rain which was about 20% of the average rainfall for the month. As a result, grapes achieved perfect ripening levels.
The grapes were picked, crushed and pressed the same day. The juice was fermented entirely in stainless steel tank. Fermentation was completed in 2 weeks at an average temperature of 60F. Wine was settled in tank for 3 months before bentonite fining to accomplish moderate heat stability. No malolactic fermentation and no oak barrel aging. Filtered and bottled March 2013. Released in April 2013. 230 cases produced.
